The Operations Managers Awards has, for more than 20 years, been the benchmark of success in the highly regarded yet previously ignored, the field of operations within the licensed retail sector Since the day the Awards launched they have evolved to stay in touch and relevant with the ever-changing role of an operations manager.
Embracing the arrival of the managed estate, casual dining, late-night and leased business model This has meant the evolvement of the Entry Paper (now we have two), the make-up of our judges – both Mentor Judges and Finals Judges.
The Mentor Judges are a unique element of the Awards, where a leading senior exec will spend an entire day shadowing the business day of one of our Finalists (the four Mentor Judges see five Finalists) This day accounts for the majority of the points across the three disciplines judges – Entry Paper, Field Judging and Finals Judging.
All with the purpose of ensuring that the Awards remain the very best they can be Our rigorous judging process has never been softened and this ensures the Winners of the UKHospitality Operations Managers Awards can stand on the top step
RoSPA Health and Safety Awards – The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is a charity that has been at the heart of accident prevention for more than 100 years and is privileged to have the Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen. Our mission is to facilitate the exchange of life-enhancing skills and knowledge to reduce serious accidental injuries.
Having evolved since its origin in 1956, the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are widely regarded as the leading means of celebrating and recognising excellence in health and safety management.
With almost 2,000 entries across 30 countries, RoSPA Award entrants protect circa 7 million employees across all industry sectors. Combined, the three annual ceremonies host more than 2,500 guests at the evening gala dinners and almost 4,000 at the daytime ceremonies.
Data from the entries feeds into RoSPA occupational health and safety policy work and a community of RoSPA Award winners has been established to share best practice.
Constantly battling against the “elf and safety” culture, RoSPA Awards are seen as the “ones to win”, adding fun and glamour to the industry.
The AIBs – Association for International Broadcasting
The Association for International Broadcasting is the not-for-profit organisation that helps and supports international broadcasters – those that send their programmes across international borders such as BBC World, CNN, Al Jazeera, Voice of America. One of our core reasons to exist is to celebrate the incredible programmes that are produced for the international market. In 2005, at the request of our Members, the AIBs were launched. They are unique in the media world in allowing production companies and broadcasters of all sizes to compete on equal terms on a truly global stage. Unlike most broadcasting awards that are organised nationally, and all too often dominated by the large local players, the AIBs encourage and accept entries from companies small and large and in any language from any part of the world.
The AIBs celebrate the best in factual productions and entries come from all over the world in all languages and we accept entries from any producers, members and non-members of the AIB. The AIBs have grown from six categories to 21 since the awards started in 2005. The number of entries is increasing as more producers hear about the AIBs and the opportunity they have to showcase their work.
