Best New Awards Event
Dezeen Awards 2018 – Dezeen
Dezeen Awards 2018 was the best-conceived and executed awards programme our industry has ever seen. It was an astonishing critical and commercial success and has made us the most desirable programme for the design world to enter and win in just one year.
Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards – Emap
The Nursing Times Workforce Summit and Awards were a true example of team work with each division, production, marketing, sales and operations outperforming targets and delivering an event that shines a light on the most topical issue in nursing at present and goes some way to helping organisations to address serious workforce sustainability issues. An excellent example of delivering a new event at pace, while managing challenging periods of overlapping event timelines and maintaining high standards.
PayTech Awards – FinTech Futures, Knect365 an Informa business
The very first PayTech Awards ceremony took place in July 2018, on a cruise boat along the river Thames.
It was a real success, with 140 people in attendance and very encouraging feedback from the guests.
It was a great effort from the team to pull this off in just over four months – from opening portal for nominations to holding the awards ceremony.
The Heropreneurs Awards – Heropreneurs
Heropreneurs is a volunteer-run charity providing free-of-charge bespoke mentoring and support services to ex-Armed Forces personnel establishing their own entrepreneurial businesses as they transition back to ‘Civvy Street’.
The Heropreneurs Awards were created to recognise the achievements of ex-Military in businesses, celebrating the transferable skills this community brings to the workplace; at the same time raising the Heropreneurs profile.
Not many new awards can boast a media partner as well known and respected as The Telegraph; but due to their belief in what Heropreneurs, as a charity stands for, and its drive to not only support ex-Armed Forces personnel but also new small businesses they join the line-up of sponsors.
The Heropreneurs Awards were also unusual, especially as a charity-organised scheme, in that it not only presented trophies but also a number of grants and bursaries were also given out. In particular, Warwick Business School, provided an offer of a bursary to every nominee in their sponsored category.
We also had the support of the MoD, which other charity award programmes in the military sector tend not to have.
We hit all our targets with a sell-out event that had integrity, was inspiring and also fun!
Talent in Logistics Awards & Conference – Talent in Logistics
Wholly owned by a charitable trust (CAPITB Limited), Talent in Logistics was specifically developed to support HR, L&D and Operational professionals within the transport, logistics and warehousing industry; as well as celebrating the blue collar workers that may not otherwise be recognised, but are integral to the success of our sector.
Held annually, the Talent in Logistics awards and conference is dedicated to the recruitment, development, engagement and retention of the 2.2 million+ people working in the industry and is a chance for professionals to get together and recognise and reward the people that are central to their success.
Throughout the event the over-arching themes are Attract, Develop and Engage. Therefore the conference theatres and their sessions, the competitions and the awards categories all align with these key messages.
Talent in Logistics is passionate about this event being a professional training and development day-out and to ensure we as an industry support those looking to enter or progress across the sector.
The British Photography Awards – The Photography Awards Limited
The British Photography Awards is an event that showcases the very best in British Still Photography. Taking its place in between the likes of The BAFTAS and Brits in the cultural identity of the UK, this long overdue awards scheme supported 16 key UK charities with a national competition and raised over £25,000.
The first event was held at London’s Savoy Hotel on the 28th of January and was a huge success with excellent media coverage, public support and celebrity endorsement.
Covering 16 categories from a broad range of professional photographers the photographic showcase in the luxurious surroundings was a true cultural gala, and much enjoyed by all in attendance.
After such a successful first event, we can’t wait to see what is to come from the BPAs.
